Our friends over at Bine & Vine Bottle Shop just got in some serious fire in the beer section. We’d like to highlight the ones you will probably want to order pronto. They pack it up real good and get it to you in no time. Check out some gems from The Rare Barrel as well as the super decadent Epic Brewing Big Bad Baptista and Son of a Baptist. Cheers!
The Rare Barrel Arrows of Neon – Arrows of Neon is a golden sour beer aged in oak barrels with lemon peel and lime peel. Fermented with a collection of special microorganisms this golden sour beer features aromas of citron and lime zest with flavors of fresh lemonade and tart lime juice. A sour beer that takes time, a journey of lemon and lime, just keep truckin on.
The Rare Barrel Shadows of Their Eyes – Shadows of Their Eyes is a dark sour beer aged in oak barrels. Fermented with Brettanomyces yeast and Lactobacillus bacteria, this sour features aromas of dark chocolate that compliment notes of black cherries, strawberries, and tart plums.
Epic Big Bad Baptista – Big Bad Baptista is a combination of Vanilla, Cinnamon, Mexican coffee roasted by Blue Copper, and Solstice Chocolate cacao nibs. It’s luxurious to say the least, with a pleasant warming sensation generated by the cinnamon and alcohol. Enjoying the interplay of chocolate, malt, oak, and spice is the perfect way to spend a cool evening, with friends around a fire.
Epic Brewing Son of a Baptist with Dark Horse Coffee – Son of a Baptist is an 8% ABV imperial stout. It is not barrel aged like its father, Big Bad Baptist; instead its flavor profile was designed to highlight the complex and often unique flavors of small batch coffees. Instead of sourcing a coffee that would play well in a beer we sought out creative and innovative roasters, then asked them which beans they’re passionate about.
