El Segundo Unity 2017 – In anticipation for the 9th annual L.A. Beer Week, the Los Angeles County Brewers Guild has charged El Segundo Brewing with the hosting of the Unity brew. We are honored to have been chosen, and have lined up a great beer for you all!
In an unprecedented move that that we still can’t wrap our minds around, we made a beer style that we hope you will grow to appreciate…an IPA! -gasp- We incorporated some local CA citrus zest and juice – which was all hand done by a large group of passionate L.A. Brewers day of the Unity Brew. We had a fabulous day of seeing old friends, meeting lots of new ones, and banding together for a beer that represents the harmony between our community during these sometimes volatile times.
AleSmith/Pizza Port Brewing – We’ve finally teamed up with our friends at Pizza Port Brewing Co., one of our favorite breweries in San Diego. When deciding what to make, we figured something excessively hoppy was the logical choice, and so this collaboration brew was born. This triple IPA is an intensely hoppy and bitter San Diego-style India pale ale. The light malt character and light body allow aggressive notes of pine, mango, and citrus fruits to overtake the palate, while a dry finish allows it to remain crisp and refreshing. Make the Logical Choice and enjoy this beer immediately, much like the brewers did leaving work to enjoy it in sunny San Diego. Cheers!
Melvin Brewing Asterisk (*) DIPA – Dear Enjoyer, one year, at this great beer fest in America, we got a gold medal for 2×4. The next year, they did not let us enter the contest. So we decided to make a new beer for the future. That year’s winner will forever put an asterisk next to their gold medal. Brewed & dry-hopped with Mosaic. Don’t let the RIIPA Series Barry you. Our hops are our bond. Home run.
