Best Craft Beer of 2013 Poll

thefullpint.com presents "Best Craft Beer of 2013" Happy New Year loyal readers of The Full Pint! We present to you, our annual flagship poll, Best Craft Beer of 2013.  We spent the last month nominating beers that made their impactful debut in 2013, and want you to choose the very best.  What determines if the beer is eligible for this poll is the following: the beer made it’s debut outside of the brewery tasting room, in bottle format or wide draft distribution. A quick check on ratebeer.com can give you a good gauge on when a beer was born, piloted, then introduced. Poll ends on January 30, 2014 at 5PM PDT.

  • Should the beer you want to vote for not be on the list, you may write it in via the comments section IF..

I’ve had a good number of the beers on this list and Saranac Legacy IPA is without question the best of them.

  2. Max says

Cascade Barrel and Brewing House – Sang Noir

Unbelievable. I think this list is pretty bad. No Firestone Walker 17th Anniversary, No Boulevard Brewing Rye-on-Rye, No Deschuttes – Abyss. No The Bruery – Bois.

I feel like all the best beers i had this year aren’t on this list. This just seems like a list of the best selling craft beers this year. But i digress. There are still plenty of good ones on here.

  3. Kirbie Butler says

I am having issues voting. I would like to vote for Boulevard Brewing Love Child. Thanks!

  4. CLAY says

ALL SARANAC PRODUCTS ARE TOP OF THE LINE AND THEIR NEW LEGACY IPA IS WELL WORTHY OF YOUR REVIEW

  5. Matthew says

Saranac Legacy represents a wonderful tradition of craft beer and support of community – not to mention it tastes great!

  6. T Landon says

Get Bent IPA: Parkway Brewing, Salem, VA: I’m a hop head and like to try every IPA I can find, but this one I keep returning to. Try it! Available in bottles and Kegs all over Virginia now.

  7. nic says

Alewerks Cafe Royale is a yearly release that first started at *least* 5 years ago.

    write-ins:
    Voodoo PvW Black Magick
    Voodoo K13

No Boulevard on this list? WTF must be a bunch of newbies for the beer geekdom – Tank 7 beats most this crowd… everyday

  9. Rick M says

Union Craft Double Duckpin should be on this list. An amazing beer I hope come back out in 2014!

  10. says

It’s really unfortunate that most of you never had the chance to try River North Brewery’s Whiskey Barrel Aged Quandary (quad). They are a small, limited distribution brewery here in Denver, making awesome beers – and then barrel aging some to make them even “awesomer!”

    Check them out at http://rivernorthbrewery.com

  11. Tim R. says

Double Barrel Damon should definitely win, but has no chance since only 192 bottles were releases. Thinking about it now I should have voted for Pirate Bomb! since it at least has a chance of winning since it had a decent amount of bottles released and was damn good!

  12. Brian says

By far the best I had was Figueroa Mountain Lizards Mouth Imperial IPA, but it was not widely distributed. Hopefully volume will increase this year and get bottled.

  13. jesusdrinksbeer says

Santa Clara*** small typo =], nice beer list, I need to add some of them to my search list.

  14. M says

Boulevard is not on this list! Not sure how I can vote without Boulevard being on this list! Tank 7 would have been a great nominee.

  15. admin says

@David, it was a tap only beer called 9th Anniversary in 2011. It’s renamed and bottled. If we get enough bad feedback, I suppose we could take it off. My gut tells me it’s a new beer with national distribution.
