Vote for The Best Stout
It’s St. Patrick’s Day season, that means it’s time to break out the shamrocks and fire up some corned beef! It’s also time to start pouring our favorite dark beer, Stout! While we have much love for Guinness, we know we have some fresher craft beer choices here in the US to enjoy. We want to know from you, What is the Best Stout? This poll is comprised of anything not Imperial. We have some dry stouts, milk stouts, coffee stouts, and just some good old stouts listed. As long as it’s 7.9% or less, we consider it a Stout.
This poll will be open until March 17, 2011 at 5:00 PM EST. Read below for the basic rules of this poll:
- If your favorite Stout is not listed, you may “write in” your vote using the comment feature below. The stout you enter must be 7.9% or below.
- You can show your support for a beer already listed using the comment feature below. This will not count as a vote.
- If you are having technical difficulties in voting, please contact us via our contact form.
- Please don’t cheat. We can see what’s going on in the background, so please have fun and help make this a positive experience for everyone.

Any talk of stout and St. Patrick’s Day ‘season’ without mention of O’reilly’s Stout from Sly Fox Brewing (PA) misses the point entirely!
The perfect session beer and, imo, the quintessential Irish Dry Stout!

My all time favorite is Waltney’s Cream Stout, then Mendocino’s Imperial Stout, then Lost Coast Oatmeal Stout, then Mendocino’s Oatmeal Stout.. That how it honestly flows for for me!! I don’t drink very much beer, and only Stouts and Porters.. And that only once a week, if that… And i know that Waltney, isn’t America, but that’s now it flows… If someone made a Stout like Waltney’s Cream Stout.. I would be a follower… And I’m not usually a follower…

What is this 7. 9 Percent rule? That’s crap. Oskar Blues Ten Fidy is the best stout around. Or Iron Horse Mocha Death.
