Pizza and beer. They go together like peanut butter and jelly. If you’ve followed The Full Pint long enough, you know that we have a sweet spot for San Diego’s staple Pizza Port Brewing due to this simple yet winning combo. A few weeks back, we were contacted by this nice couple, Steve and Jamie Inzunza, right here in our backyard in South Pasadena. They invited us to check out Mamma’s Brick Oven Pizza Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta.
SOUTH PASADENA, Ca. – Oct. 8, 2019 – One of the first self-serve beer tap walls in the Los Angeles area has made its debut at Mamma’s Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta, located at 1007 Fair Oaks Ave. in South Pasadena.
In celebration of Mamma’s Grand Opening this month, TheFullPint.com followers can take advantage of a special offer. Just come to Mamma’s before Oct. 30 to receive a free slice of pizza with your purchase of a $20 beer tap keycard. Just mention “TheFullPint.com” when you come in.
Mamma’s expansive beer tap wall features a rotating selection of 20 popular brews from a variety of breweries along with another four selections of wine and cocktails. The current beer selection includes an Oktoberfest brew along with IPAs, ales, ciders and more.
Sampling is encouraged so that customers may learn about different kinds of beer, or you can fill up a 14-oz. Belgian glass with the beer of your choice. Instructions are provided to ensure the perfect pour.
Keycards for the tap wall can be purchased and “loaded” with any amount of money, and unused balances will remain on the card for your next visit.
Following 14 successful years in a much smaller location, Mamma’s moved into its big new location in August—four times the size of “little Mamma’s.” The new restaurant features a spacious dining room with modern furniture, a breezy outdoor “Piazza” for year-round dining, and a large indoor space for private parties and business functions. Several big screen televisions allow patrons to cheer on their favorite sports teams.
The beer wall and an array of new appetizers augment Mamma’s popular menu of pastas and New York-style pizzas — including vegan and gluten-free options — and salads. A total of four massive brick ovens cook Mamma’s pizzas fresh each day. The popular garlic knots remain on the menu.
Mamma’s owners Jamie and Steve Inzunza take pride in offering menu items made daily with the freshest ingredients at family-friendly prices.
“We are so happy to be opening our new location with all the new features in a much larger space,” explained owner Steve Inzunza. “We are eager to serve new customers from around the Los Angeles-area who will no doubt enjoy our dining in our spacious restaurant, eating good food and experiencing the beer wall. We hope they will return again and again to try different menu items as well as rotating beer selections.”
