(Sacramento, CA) – Today the California Craft Brewers Association (CCBA) announced its beer list for the 2017 California Craft Beer Summit, including new and special release beers from more than 165 California breweries. The Summit’s culminating event, the Summit Beer Festival, provides the largest collection of hand crafted, California-brewed beer ever served in one location.
“Many of California’s craft breweries do not distribute outside their hometowns, which means there are hundreds of new beers to try at the Summit that you would only be able to taste if you traveled to Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco or more remote brewery locations,” said Tom McCormick, CCBA’s executive director. “The Summit provides a chance for craft beer lovers to take a tasting tour through all of California’s finest beers from both the largest and smallest craft breweries.”
The Summit’s beer line-up is listed online HERE and includes special releases from breweries across the state, including but not limited to:
- 21st Amendment Brewing Company

The Summit is a three-day event where craft beer enthusiasts, homebrewers, commercial brewers and industry leaders can learn, taste and experience the world of craft beer side-by-side. Headliners such as Ken Grossman of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., David Walker of Firestone Walker Brewing Co., and homebrew icon Charlie Papazian will share insight on the beer community and the future of craft in California.
“If you love craft beer or work in the industry, don’t miss the Summit,” said Ken Grossman, owner and founder of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. “You’ll have the chance to meet your favorite brewers as well as brewers that you’ve never heard of but need to know.”
On Saturday at the Summit Beer Festival, craft beer from every region of the state will be arranged geographically at the outdoor festival on the Capitol Mall where beer lovers will have the opportunity to meet the innovative and creative brewers who are working on the next favorite craft beer. The Craft Beer Summit Festival will be held on Saturday, September 9 from 11:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Capitol Mall.
