McGillin’s Olde Ale House – Halfway To St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day – Calls For A Whole Lot Of Fun At McGillin’s Olde Ale House
Philadelphia, PA- It’s halfway to St. Patrick’s Day. That’s a good reason for a whole lot of fun at McGillin’s Olde Ale House. McGillin’s, the city’s oldest continuously operating tavern, has dubbed September 24 & 25, as “St. Practice Daze” and is marking it with a green bash featuring live Irish music by Patsy from Boston, green beer and Irish foods.
“You’ve heard of Christmas in July? Well, this is St. Patrick’s Day in September,” said Chris Mullins, co-owner, McGillin’s Olde Ale House. “September can be such a busy month, it’s important to relax and have a little fun too!”
It’ll be a mix of Irish & German fun at McGillin’s. While McGillin’s will serve Irish stout and food for the two-day St. Practice Daze, it is also right in the middle of Oktoberfest, which lasts until McGillin’s created an outdoor beer garden at the Midtown Village Fall Festival October 2. So, German beers and foods are also being served.
