Ancestral Ale– Indigenous Beer – Cat #16:
Yes, Ancestral Ale. In celebration of our local Chimney Rock Archeology Area receiving National Monument status, we crafted a beer using the indigenous food stuffs of the ancestral Pueblo peoples. After detailed consultation with the regional US Forest Service Archaeologist, we brewed a light ale using local ingredients similar to what the Puebloan peoples relied upon, including: wheat, barley, corn, squash, beans and cactus fruit.
