Crooked Stave Events Around Town
Sunday, September 20
Sour Sunday
Location: Backcountry Pizza & Taphouse (2319 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder)
Time: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Head to Backcountry for Boulder’s largest annual sour beer tap takeover featuring Crooked Stave, Almanac, Cantillon, Gueuzerie Tilquin, and Prairie. Tappings run all day long.
Monday, September 21
Meet & Greet
Location: Tap14 (1920 Blake St, Denver)
When: 3 – 6 p.m.
Join Crooked Stave on the rooftop of Hayter’s & Co. for six special tappings plus a brewery representative will be on site 3-6 p.m. to answer all your questions.
Rare Beer Takeover
Location: Road 34 (1213 W. Elizabeth St., Fort Collins)
Time: 5 p.m.
Starting at 5 p.m., Road 34 will tap rare beers from Crooked Stave, Almanac, Cascade, Copper Kettle, Fremont, and Perennial.
Sour Monday
Location: Freshcraft (1530 Blake St., Denver)
Time: 7 p.m.
It’s all about that sour at Freshcraft. Starting at 7 p.m. get your fill of mouth-puckering offerings from Crooked Stave, Cascade, and Perennial.
Tuesday, September 22
GABF Welcome Party
Location: Oskar Blues Homemade Liquids & Solids (1555 S. Hover Rd., Longmont)
Time: All Day
Kick off GABF with a casual welcome party at Oskar Blues featuring beers from Crooked Stave and CSA brands Evil Twin, Prairie, Stillwater, Almanac, among many others!
Crooked Stave Beer Dinner
Location: Choice City (104 W. Olive St., Fort Collins)
Time: 5 – 9 p.m.
Not in Denver, but want to partake in the GABF fun? Crooked Stave is taking over Choice City in downtown Fort Collins for a four-course beer dinner.
Wednesday, September 23
CSA Tap Takeover
Where: Hops & Pie
Time: 11:30 a.m.
Don’t miss this monster tap takeover featuring all CSA brands including Crooked Stave, Jester King, Bell’s, Perennial, Almanac, Breakside, Fremont, Ale Apothecary, Two Roads, Westbrook, Evil Twin, Societe, Creature Comforts, Boneyard, and more!
Beers Made By Walking
Location: Our Mutual Friend Brewery (2810 Larimer St., Denver)
Time: 4:30 – 8 p.m.
Beers Made By Walking is a program that invites brewers to make beer inspired by nature hikes and urban walks. This year’s festival features 34 breweries that have each created a beer using local ingredients.
What the Funk!? Invitational Beer Festival
Location: Highlands Masonic Event Center (3550 Federal Blvd, Denver)
Time: 5:30 – 10 p.m.
What the Funk!? is a celebration of all things barrel-aged from boozy and strong, to wild, sour, and funky. Taking place at the Highlands Masonic Event Center, this year’s festival will feature over 60 breweries from across the United States and around the world. Six local restaurants will be showcasing small plates and two food trucks will be on site. Proceeds from the event benefit two local nonprofits, Cancer Climber and Water for People.
Colorado Classic Beer Dinner
Location: The Kitchen Denver (1530 16th St., Denver)
Time: 6:30 p.m. welcome / 7 p.m.
The Kitchen is celebrating Colorado breweries with a four-course dinner featuring beers from Crooked Stave, Avery, Great Divide, Odell, and New Belgium.
Barrel Night
Location: World of Beer Cherry Creek (660 S. Colorado Blvd, Denver)
Time: 7 p.m.
We’re going head to head with Almanac and Copper Kettle to see who reigns in barrel aging. We’re bringing the heat: Mama’ Bears Sour Cherry Pie.
Falling Rock Tapping
Location: Falling Rock Tap House (1919 Blake St., Denver)
Time: 10:30 p.m.
As in past years, Shelton Bros. will have a tent in the Falling Rock parking lot where specialty beers will be tapped. Starting at 9:30 p.m., a plethora of beers from Shelton Bros. will be tapped followed by a special Crooked Stave tapping at 10:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 24
Sour Hour
Location: Highland Tap & Burger (2219 W. 32nd Ave., Denver)
Time: 2 – 4 p.m.
Highland Tap is getting funked up with tappings of sour beers from Crooked Stave among others.
Crooked Stave & Perennial Tapping
Location: Falling Rock Tap House (1919 Blake St., Denver)
Time: 2 p.m.
Get your fill of beers from Crooked Stave and Perennial starting at 2 p.m.
CSA Family Dinner
Location: The Kitchen Boulder (1039 Pearl St., Boulder)
Time: 6 p.m.
The Kitchen is graciously hosting a family dinner featuring beers from the CSA portfolio including Crooked Stave, Fremont, Gigantic, Oakshire, and Perennial.
Friday, September 25
Rare Beer Tasting
Location: McNichols Building (144 W. Colfax Ave, Denver)
Time: 12 – 4 p.m.
Benefitting Pints for Prostates, the seventh annual Rare Beer Tasting features rare brews from 50 of the country’s best craft breweries. We’re pouring some Cellar Reserve goodies including Port Nightmare on Brett, L’Brett d’Cherry, and Nightcap.
Tap Takeover
Location: World of Beer Cherry Creek (660 S. Colorado Blvd, Denver)

Saturday, September 26
Crooked Brews & Chef Dudes
Location: Mercantile Dining & Provisions (1701 Wynkoop St., Denver)
Time: 6:00 welcome & fondue making / 7 p.m. dinner
Brands: Crooked Stave, Almanac, Bell’s, Jester King, Prairie
For the first ever collaborative dinner at Mercantile, Chef Alex Seidel is going all out. This five-course dinner features dishes from five different chefs paired with beers from some of the best breweries in the country. The dinner will commence with a “passed app” – three different cheese fondues to pair with Crooked Stave beer. The dinner is limited to 120 seats and tickets are available via Imbibe.
