2nd Annual Sacramento Beer Week

Sacramento, CA – Sacramento’ s 2nd Annual Beer Week is Friday, February the 25th through Sunday, March 6th and will host over 300 exciting beer tasting and delicious food experiences around the Sacramento area.

Beer Week 2011 is a week to celebrate our rich Sacramento beer culture. Beer Week’ s extensive list of pub, brewery, and restaurant participants will be offering great lunch, dinner, and brunch specials to showcase their delectable cuisine that are perfectly paired with all types of beer.

Beer Week enthusiasts can also partake in a slew of great events such as educational events, brewery showcases, beer tastings, pub-crawls, and even a week long scavenger hunt to where beer lovers can compete for exciting prizes.

Sacramento Beer Week is holding two larger events, the Sacramento Brewers Showcase at the Crocker Art Museum and Capitol Beerfest at Cal Expo. The Sacramento Brewers Showcase on Thursday, February 24th at the Crocker Art Museum is a great opportunity for attendees to sample every Sacramento brewery and beers exclusive to Beer Week. This event is a great social event to meet the faces behind the breweries, listen to musical performances by local artists, sample small plates by culinary artists, and taste a special ceremonial firkin of beer made collaboratively by local brewers. Sacramento Brewers Showcase tickets are $20 for admission. The Capital Beerfest is the cornerstone event of Sacramento Beer Week that will be held on March 5th, 2011 at Cal Expo where beer enthusiasts can sample beer from over 70 breweries in California and beyond. To conclude the weeklong celebrations, Capital Beerfest will feature rare and unique brews from breweries around the world. A private hour of special and rare beer tasting will be available for VIP guests from 12pm to 1pm and general admission will be from 1pm to 4pm. The Capital Beerfest extravaganza will also have a giant indoor beer garden along with music, food, and cool beer stuff for sale. Sacramento Beer Week always emphasizes the importance and education of responsible drinking and will provide free shuttles to and from Midtown Sacramento to Cal Expo. Capital Beerfest tickets are $30 for General Admission and $60 for VIP.
