My first visit to BWSB was just after they expanded, 2008. It was my go to happy hour spot as it was in between my house in HB and carpool packing lot behind Whole Foods Long Beach. I would stop in 2-3 times a week after work before heading home. I learned a lot on craft beer drinking and socializing at the bar with all original barkeeps along with Gabe and Kyle. After a couple of years of stopping in every week and when most of the original workers left I stopped going for happy hour. That’s when Gabe, Lena and Julian opened Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach. I would stop in occasionally for lunch or dinner as I found myself at their new Long Beach location more often for to go growlers. Beachwood BBQ is and always will be remembered as my start into the world of craft beer. R.I.P. We’ll see you in LB and HB.
    Cheers

Terrible news. Great people, BBQ, and beer. Since moving to Texas I would get asked by people (from here) traveling to SoCal where to visit and they were at the top of the list.
