Welcome Back to Your Seat at the Famille Rue Table
By now, you may have received your invitation, welcoming you back to a seat at the Famille Rue table as a member of our Hoarders Society® in 2016.
2016? Yes, 2016.
It may seem a bit early to talk about Society enrollment for the upcoming year. It certainly is earlier than previous years. But it’s not premature. In fact, it’s quite calculated, taking into consideration the number of releases and your potential purchases for the remainder of the year. Check it out:
The second act of our 2015 performance is loaded with more releases than ever before. Yup. Much more is coming and in relatively short order. The buildout of Bruery Terreux™ is complete – with separate, dedicated fermenters, barrel-aging space and bottling line for our sour and wild beers. New beers and returning beers under the Bruery Terreux brand are coming off the line in rapid succession. A number of them are reserved specifically for Society members.
At the same time, we continue our expansion and innovation at The Bruery®. This includes a state-of-the-art brewhouse and bottling line, centrifuge, fermenters, additional barrel-aging space and new Bruers. You’ve likely heard about – or met, if you’re local – our new Director of Brewing Operations, Jim Mellem, who brings over a decade of brewing and leadership experience to our famille, including 14 years at Sierra Nevada and time at their Mills River brewery in North Carolina.
With the significant allocations and engagements planned for the remaining year (Black Tuesday® anyone?), we’re moving up our renewal schedule to better plan for the year ahead. And we also hope the advance notification of the renewal schedule helps you forecast your own plans and purchases for the remainder of the year. The price of a 2016 Hoarders Society membership will remain the same as last year. And while we’re running renewals earlier than last year and offering you the opportunity to renew right away, your exclusive renewal window is several weeks longer this year and will last until the end of August. We will also be extending an option to spread the cost of Hoarders Society membership into two payments.
About the 2016 Beers
You’re familiar with how we let our beers tell us when they’re ready. So, rather than name all of them before their full personalities takes shape, we’re holding back some names this time around, until we’re closer to the time that their caps are crowned, so to speak. While we’re developing these 2016 Society-exclusive beers, we’re planning to bring you inside the process more than ever before. Through our existing communications channels as well as our new Society-exclusive Twitter and Instagram profiles, you’ll be on these beers’ journeys beside us as our fermented dreams take shape. And, as always, our dreams are big. We think that bringing you along for the journey, rather than announcing everything at once, will relieve all of us from some unneeded stress while these beers come to life. But it would be outlandish and coy not to drop a few hints at what we have in store for you. So here it goes:
Fruited sours. Wild beer. Gose. A series of Berliner Weisses. Lagers of many sizes – from hoppy and spicy to big malty doppelbock. New collaborations, and perhaps the return of a cult classic or two… A new cocktail-inspired beer. New applications of our White Oak Sap and additions of coffee. New installments in ongoing series. New variations of big barrel-aged beers. Plus many returning favorites from previous years and other surprises we have up our sleeves.
Your Perks and Exclusive Renewal Period
The general perks of the Hoarders Society will remain similar to the current year with one major addition: the Bruery Terreux tasting room, where you’ll be able to enjoy all of your current Tasting Room perks. Plus, Bruery Terreux will give us the needed space to hold more exclusive Society events. As always, we strive for continual improvement on the beers that we make, the events that we throw and the standards that we hold for ourselves – and that you, our members, expect. You’ll see your full benefits as a Hoarders Society member listed below.
You’ll have a lengthier, six week window to recommit this year, starting July 13 and running through August 30. We’ll give you reminders as the deadline approaches, beginning July 13 when you can first renew through TheBrueryStore.com. During this exclusive window for existing Hoarders Society members, you are guaranteed a space for 2016 should you decide to renew.
So keep your eyes out for your invitation in the mail, and set your sights on beers that will continue to challenge and excel over the status quo. You’d expect nothing less from us, and we wouldn’t take your palate’s preference – or your support – for granted.
