Smog City Brewing Hosts Their First Tap Takeover At The Yard

Santa Monica, Ca – Smog City Brewing has partnered with The Yard in Santa Monica for their first ever total tap takeover, Feb 15th at 7pm. Smog City is one of LA’s newest and definitely smallest breweries but don’t let its size fool you, this brewery’s beer is big on flavor and focused on balance and quality.

Brewer, Jonathan Porter hails from Tustin Brewing Co where he is currently the head brewer. Smog City is what we call a sister brand of Tustin for the meantime while partners Jonathan and Laurie Porter and Tustin Brewing Co. owner, Jason Jeralds look for a location for Smog City Brewing’s permanent production facility.

Lucky for Smog City and LA County beer drinkers, Tustin is a great place for creating limited release and seasonal beers (Sabre-Toothed Squirrel and The Nothing) as well as offering the capacity for three permanent Smog City beers (L.A. Saison, XPA and Groundwork Coffee Porter) for the Smog City Brand.

Join us at The Yard for Smog City’s unofficial launch party, Wednesday Feb 15th, 2012. Event begins at 7pm. Jonathan and Laurie Porter and Jason Jeralds will be on hand to raise a pint and talk about the beers.
