Two Great SweetWater Traditions On Tap Again For 2012
Mark Your Calendars for 2012’s Brew Your Cask Off Cask Ale Festival & 8th Annual SweetWater 420 Fest
Atlanta, GA – SweetWater is brewing up plenty reasons to look forward to 2012 with the return of two of the Southeast’s favorite annual festivals to Atlanta this spring. In March, celebrate cask ale at its finest with SweetWater Brewing Company’s “Brew Your Cask Off” Festival. Enjoy unlimited, one-of-a-kind samples of “Real Ale” concocted by more than 80 guest brewers, including SweetWater retailers, local celebrities, media folk & charities. This year, SweetWater’s faithful were also given the chance to bid on the opportunity to craft and present their own cask ales under the watchful eye of SweetWater Brewmaster Mark Medlin at http://bit.ly/sO7id6 and http://bit.ly/slXfCA. These limited-time auctions ended on November 17, 2011 and 100% of the winning bids will benefit the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and the Atlanta Humane Society. A month later, the 8th Annual 420 Fest will return to Candler Park for three days of SweetWater fun on April 20th, 21st, and 22nd. The weekend-long music and arts festival features 3 days of live music, great food, environmental & educational activities. A comedy tent packed with punch lines, artist market with 50+ vendors and partner pavilions throughout the festival are all meant to be enjoyed while sipping on some of SweetWater’s lip smackin’ brews. 420 Fest’s entertainment lineup will be announced on Monday, January 3, 2012. 8th Annual SweetWater 420 Fest
When: April 20-22, 2012
Time: Friday- 4:20pm to 11:00pm.; Saturday- Noon to 10:00pm; Sunday- 12:30pm to 7:00pm
Where: 1506 McClendon Ave. – Candler Park, Atlanta
Cost: $5 per day for wristbands for patrons 21+ to responsibly enjoy beer. A portion of these proceeds is given to Park Pride to fund park improvements. Purchase is not required so that families can attend for free; however, anyone purchasing beer must have a wristband. www.sweetwater420fest.com
