Karl Strauss Welcomes Author Josh Bernstein With “Brewfestivus”
San Diego, CA – Karl Strauss is celebrating the release of Josh Bernstein’s book, Brewed Awakening: Behind the Beers and Brewers Leading the World’s Craft Brewing Revolution, with a holiday bash at the main brewery. Brewfestivus: a Craft Beer and Ugly Sweater Party for the Rest of Us is Friday December 9, 2011 from 6-9pm. The intimate event takes place inside the brewery and features five winter warmers and a gourmet food truck. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite ugly sweaters for the chance to win an autographed copy of the book and a bottle of the GABF award-winning Two Tortugas Belgian Quad.
Brooklyn-based Bernstein is looking forward to visiting San Diego and interacting with fans of the book. “For a hop head and die-hard beer lover such as myself, venturing to San Diego is a bit like a kid visiting Disneyland.” Tickets to the limited-capacity event are $20 and include beer and food and the chance to mingle with the Karl Strauss brew crew and the author. Copies of Brewed Awakening will be available for sale at the event for an additional fee.
