The Fourth Annual Philadelphia Real Ale Invitational is returning to Yards Brewing Company for the third consecutive year. More than 20 of the nation’s finest cask ale producers will be offering guests a variety of unique flavors. Cask ale — unfiltered and unpasteurized beer that is conditioned (including secondary fermentation) and served from a cask without additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide pressure — has a deeply rooted tradition in the Philadelphia beer scene and it’s only natural that the brewery that resurrected this style of beer hosts its flagship event.
The Philadelphia Real Ale Invitational will feature approximately 20 different cask conditioned beers and brewers, and more may be added between now and March 20th. Beer will not be the only benefit. Food will be provided, the Jazz Horses will be returning to supply the music (with an additional band coming) and all attendees will receive a commemorative mug. Additionally, the entire brewery space will be open to guests, allowing them to explore Philadelphia’s most sustainable brewery from the recently completed Tasting Room to the bottling line.
VIP and General Admission tickets are available through yardsbrewing.com for $65 and $50 respectively. The event has sold out every year since its inception, and tickets can be difficult to obtain on the day of the event. VIP tickets are very limited and allow attendees to arrive an hour early for a private tour of the brewery with brew master and founder Tom Kehoe. VIPs will also be able to sample something special from Yards Brewing Company and other breweries.
