Sprecher’s 4th Annual Breast Cancer Benefit Spa
Glendale, WI – This year, Sprecher Brewing Company’s 4th annual Brewing Up a Cure benefit for Gilda’s Club of Southeastern Wisconsin takes place Sunday, October 23rd from noon to 4pm. Sprecher teamed up with some great local partners to provide free mini-massages, acupuncture and spa treatments as well as beauty and health tips. Additionally, there will be educational presentations throughout the day. This is a great opportunity for survivors, their friends and families to relax and celebrate conquering major life challenges.
All proceeds go to Gilda’s Club of Southeastern Wisconsin which provides programming and support for all cancer patients and their families. Last year Sprecher’s spa raised $4,000; this year we’d like to surpass that amount. Nearly 40,000 American woman and 450 men die annually just from breast cancer, one of myriad types of cancer. They leave behind countless family members and friends who live with the loss and the hope that someday all cancer will be cured. Through exercise classes, dinners, meetings, Gilda’s Club helps club members and their families cope with this nefarious disease.
“Most everyone I know knows someone who has had or currently has cancer, whether it’s a family member, friend, coworker or themselves. Cancer specialists now predict that 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will have cancer at some point in their lives. Fortunately, treatment advances have been made and there is new hope everyday. For those dealing with cancer in our area, Gilda’s Club of Southeastern Wisconsin is one of the brightest lights we have, which is why Sprecher is proud to have this annual spa. We are also honored to have many community partners working with us on this spa. They make it a fun day full of much needed me time,” said Anne Sprecher.

Advance tickets: $25/$10, 16 years and under. Day of tickets: $30/$15, 16 years and under. Includes: tour, beer samples and commemorative glass (21+), unlimited soda, a wide array of spa treatments and mini-consultation, lunch provided by BRAVO!, education, laughter and fun. Survivors also receive: 14 day membership and personal training session donated by the Wisconsin Athletic Club; a pink rose from Welke’s House of Roses; special t-shirt.
