Silver City Brewing – 2nd Annual Kill A Keg Event At Sirens

Sirens & Silver City Brewery have teamed up again to provide a kick off event to the Strange Brewfest weekend, featuring Cask Conditioned Clear Creek Pale Ale, The Great American Beer Festival 2011’s Gold Medal Winner in the English Pale Ale Category.

Silverdale, WA – Silver City Brewery, the Kitsap Peninsula’s premier award-winning, handcrafted brewery, today announced the 2nd Annual Kill-a-Keg event at Sirens in Port Townsend. To kick off the Strange Brewfest weekend Sirens will tap a keg of Silver City Brewery Cask Conditioned Extra Dry-hopped Clear Creek Pale Ale at 6:30 pm on Friday January 27th 2012. Once the keg is tapped the beer will continue to flow until the keg is empty or everyone who joins has a glass. Silver City Brewery Brewmaster “Big Daddy” Don Spencer will then give a toast to the occasion. The tickets are $6 and include a Silver City Pint glass & your first beer. Additional beers will be reg
ular price. The keg to be “killed” holds about 70 beers so the cap to receive a pint glass will be about 70 people. There will be a backup keg of a Clear Creek Pale Ale to enjoy though. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Sirens or please arrive by 6pm 1/27 to purchase tickets the day of.

About Silver City Clear Creek Pale Ale
A blend of three lightly toasted British malts lend a mild caramel character and a light reddish hue. Northwest Centennial and Amarillo hops in the boil and the conditioning tank really make this beer blossom.
