Stone Brewing Co. of Escondido, CA set to hold their Annual Beer Festival at University of San Marcos to support local charities. Please check back periodically at TheFullPint.com as we provide ticket info, guest breweries as well as guest tap info.
From stonebrew.com – Mark your calendars (Saturday, August 21, 2010) and spread the word because the Stone Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival is returning for another year! We will once again be converging upon the beautiful campus of Cal State University San Marcos for a glorious day of craft beer appreciation and revelry. Join us as we raise a toast and thousands of dollars for local charities while enjoying fine food, homebrewed sodas, and an incredible selection of over 100 beers from handpicked craft and specialty breweries from around the world. Since the first Stone Anniversary Celebration, all you beer-drinking humanitarians have helped us raise over half a million dollars! Your $40 charitable donation helps local non-profits provide valuable services to our community. Your reward: admission to one 3-hour session, a 14th Anniversary tasting glass, and 10 “tasters” of delicious craft brews. Tickets are available now online and at the Stone Company Store.

When you buy your ticket, you get a keepsake glass (6 oz. I think) and a wristband with 10 “tear offs” on it. Each brewery has an easy up with a couple of their signature beers on tap. You pick which ones you want and with each pour they take one of your tear offs. I highly recommend this event. Good beer, bratwurst, arrogant bastard battered onion rings, etc. Good times!

Hi,
I’ve never been to one of the Stone celebrations. Can you explain what is meant by 10 “tasters”? Is that to say that during a 3-hour session, you can choose 10 beers from the 100+ available?
Thanks!
