Cascade Brewing to Hold Beer Dinner this May
Cascade brewers Ron Gansberg and Curtis Bain have teamed up with chefs Jeff Pagel and Joe Dougherty for a fantastic Beer Belly Dinner at EastBurn, pairing local fare with Northwest sour beers. The event will take place Thursday, May 13th from 6:30 to 9 pm at 1800 East Burnside Street in Portland.
The starter course is artisanal goat cheeses and habanero almonds served with Spring Gose. Appetizers include cold smoked salmon rosettes with creme fraiche and dill served with the The Vine 09 and beer battered frog legs with savory caramel, paired with Busta Nut Brown. The entree features a pan seared rack of spring lamb from SuDan Farm with a cherry demi-glace, served with quinoa tabouli and local harvest vegetables, paired with Cascade Kriek 09. And for dessert, white chocolate cheesecake and stone fruit compote served with Apricot Ale 09.
