Philly Beer Week Events At McGillin’s
Meet New Local Brewer & Nation’s Oldest Brewer at City’s Oldest Bar
Philadelphia, PA – McGillin’s Olde Ale House, Philadelphia’s oldest continuously operating tavern, will host Meet the Brewer events with the city’s newest local brewer and the nation’s oldest brewer during Philly Beer Week. The historic tavern will also be included on a series of Philly on Tap beer tours.
On Monday, June 6, McGillin’s will host a “Meet the Brewer” event with Philadelphia’s newest brewer — Boxcar Brewing Company. The dynamic duo from Philly’s smallest brewery has the biggest heart and they are passionate about their beer. Here’s a chance to meet Jason Kohser and Jamie Robinson, Boxcar’s owners, brewers, salesmen, distributors and cheerleaders, before they become famous. Beer tasting from 6 – 8 p.m. No cover.
On Wednesday, June 8, Jennifer Yuengling, the 6th generation brewer at America’s oldest brewery, will be at McGillin’s from 6 – 8 p.m. Enjoy a pint of Yuengling, the beer your great-great-great grandfather likely drank, at the bar where he likely drank it.This is a rare opportunity to meet a family member of the largest American-owned brewery.
