Orange County Brewers Guild Presents OC Brewers Guild Fest 6/11/16
The Orange County Brewers Guild proudly presents their first annual festival, the OC Brewers Guild Festival, on Saturday, June 11th, 5-9 PM at the beautiful Fullerton Arboretum. This celebration of Orange County beer will give participants an opportunity to sample over 60 different beers from every member of the Guild, currently 29 breweries strong. Brewers will be on hand to discuss the production techniques of their beers, take pictures, and celebrate Orange County craft beer culture with you. Small bites are included with admission from Orange County’s best beer-centric restaurants.
In a friendly competition to see who can garner the longest line at the festival, many breweries will be pouring specialty beers typically not seen at other festivals, or even at the tasting rooms of the breweries. While the entire list is to be determined, this is a sampling of one or two beers from several of our members:
— Anaheim-based Noble Ale Works, recently crowned World Beer Cup 2016 Champion Brewery and Brewmaster, will be pouring all three of their World Beer Cup winners: “I Love It” IPA, “Gosebusters”, and “Nobility”.
— Anaheim-based Bottle Logic Brewing will be pouring their “Fundamental Observation”, a barrel aged imperial stout with vanilla beans, which is currently ranked the 24th best beer in the world by BeerAdvocate.com.
— Fullerton-based Bootleggers Brewery will be pouring “Fuzzy Ninja”, a Black IPA, a 2016 silver medal winner at the Los Angeles International Beer Competition and bronze medal winner at the San Diego International Beer Competition.
— Costa Mesa-based Barley Forge will be bringing a brand new offering, “Le Gard Pas”, a biere de mars, as well as “One Louder”, a Double IPA featuring Nelson Sauvin hops.
— Santa Ana-based The Good Beer Co. is pouring “Orieta”, a dry hopped gose-style beer with lemon and lime zest, as well as special pours from three liter bottles.
— Placentia-based The Bruery will be pouring “Black Tuesday”, a 19.9% ABV bourbon barrel aged imperial stout.
— Several breweries, such as Barley Forge, are making special, one time batches with ingredients grown at the Fullerton Arboretum.
Tickets for the festival may be purchased at http://www.ocbrewers.org. A limited amount of tickets are available for discount at $60, while supplies last. The remainder of tickets purchased in advance will be sold at $75. In the unlikely case that tickets are available at the door, they will be priced at $90.
Proceeds benefit the Orange County Brewers Guild, a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization that promotes the great beer produced in Orange County. The Guild was founded in 2015 by several Orange County craft breweries.
