Kickoff Event with Duvel Moortgat – April 25th 6PM
In addition to the plethora of beers from the Duvel Moortgat portfolio we will be featuring the special release collaboration from Ommegang and La Chouffe, appropriately titled “Gnomegang” as well as the limited, Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence.
That night, you can also purchase a glass of Duvel Green for $10, keep the glass, and refill it with Duvel Green for only $7 per pour for the life of the fest! For you early birds, we will be giving away a limited number of Chouffe caps, bells and all. In addition, we’ll be raffling off a prize pack that includes a six-pack of Duvel glassware, a Chouffe Gnome Statuette, the famous La Chouffe Gnome Hat, a brewery flag and a classy tin tack-up. Tickets will be $10 a piece with all proceeds going to Japan relief.
Keep the Kwak Glass April 28th 6PM
You’ve seen the glass, the distinctive, round-bottomed yard of ale that rests in its own wooden stand. Designed by Pauwel Kwak, 19th century innkeeper, for his coach driving customers, it’s immediately recognizable. Perhaps you’ve even ventured to taste the beer within, a delightful, strong Belgian amber.
On April 28th, at the Library Alehouse, you’ll even be able to take one of Pauwel’s glasses home with you! Just purchase a full size Kwak and the glass is yours while supplies last. But don’t fear, once supplies are gone, we’ll have souvenir glassware from several other members of the Pacific Libations portfolio. We’ll be featuring Tripel Karmeliet, Saison Dupont, Scaldis Tripel and beers from La Trappe and St. Feuillien.
In addition, we’ll have Dennis Keller from Pacific Libations on hand to answer any questions you may have about the beers and their history. And of course, he’ll probably drink some beer with you.
Celebrated Ales and 12% Imports May 2nd 6PM
For a short while now, the folks over at Celebrated Ales/12% Importers have quietly been amassing an impressive beer portfolio. Comprised of exotic European beer and hard-to-find American rarities, it’s time for you to learn what they’re all about.
On May 2nd, we welcome Heather Castro, Representative of Celebrated Ales, to the Library Alehouse! She’ll be bringing a number of Belgian and Belgian-Style beer from the 12% Importers’ portfolio and she’ll be on hand to answer any questions you have. There’s a decent chance that she’ll be drinking some beer with you too.
The beer list for the evening are the following:
-Stillwater Stateside Saison
-Stillwater Cellar Door Saison
-Stillwater Autumnal Saison
-Midnight Sun Monk’s Mistress
-Brouwerij Contreras Valeir Divers Tripel
-Hoevebrouwers Toria Tripel (intensely hopped tripel)
