Karl Strauss Kicks Off 3rd San Diego Beer Week With B.Y.O.B.
San Diego, CA – Karl Strauss Brewing Company is jumpstarting San Diego Beer Week bright and early with a “Brew Your Own Beer” Brunch. The event takes place at 9am, Friday November 4, 2011 at San Diego’s first craft brewery-Karl Strauss Downtown. Guests will take a private tour led by CEO and Co-Founder Chris Cramer and Brewmaster Paul Segura before diving into a beer-inspired brunch menu created by Executive Chef Gunther Emathinger.
When guests purchase tickets to the event, they will get to vote for one of five beer recipes for a live brewing session on the morning of the brunch. Options include a Peanut Butter Cup Porter, “The Green” Tropical Pale Ale, Raspberry Ale, “Big Pimpin” Pumpkin Pie Ale, and “Monstruo de los Granos”-a little bit of everything ale. The winning beer will be announced online the day of the event and each guest will be given a ticket to come back at the end of Beer Week to taste the finished beer.
