HopHead Heaven Cures Your Case Of Lupulin Threshold Shift February 14 -24
Santa Monica, Ca – Can’t find enough hoppy beer to quench your IBU craving? Fighting a nasty case of Lupulin Threshold Shift? Fear not, Library Alehouse is here to help.
From February 14-24th we’re providing you with 15 rotating taps, covering over 40 beers packed with palate-destroying excellence. But we couldn’t limit ourselves to just IPA’s and DIPA’s alone. We’ll also have “Black” IPA’s, hoppy session beers, Imperial Reds and Belgian IPAs to satisfy your thirst for bitterness. So come early, drink often, and see how well your tooth enamel holds up.
$10 will buy you a 6 oz. tasting glass along with your first beer. Subsequent pours will cost between $2 – $3.50 for the life of the festival.
For live updates on tap-list changes, and more event details, follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
Kickoff Event (February 14th):
It’s only fitting that our bitterest fest of all would start on Valentine’s Day. Whether you’ve found love or not, HopHead Heaven will put a smile on your face. Bring your Valentine in for a glass of AleSmith’s “My Bloody Valentine.” This seasonal beer is a hoppy red that will warm even the coldest of hearts. Or if you find yourself alone, cozy up with a tulip full of Stone’s “Sublimely Self-Righteous” Black IPA to remind yourself just how a great a person you are. We’re also making a trip down to San Diego to grab some otherwise unavailable hoppy goodness from Pizza Port as well as Green Flash! Whatever beer you choose, you’ll have a big, hop-drenched smile on your face.

Come out and meet a great local brewer! Brewing out of Torrance, CA Strand’s 24th Street Pale Ale has been garnering praise all over SoCal. In addition to the fantastic pale, we’ll also have their Atticus IPA on tap! Atticus is a bigger, bolder, hoppier version of 24th Street. Grab a pint of either (or both, as we suggest) and you’ll get to take home a classy Strand Brewing pint glass!
Bay Area Beer Night (February 21st):
Say what you will about our brothers and sisters to the North, they make some outstanding beer. During our trip to SF Beer Week, we’ll be personally picking up kegs from local brewpubs that you just can’t get down here in good ol’ SoCal. We’ll have kegs from 21st Amendment, Magnolia Pub and some of the first containers of hop juice from High Water Brewing (the new venture from Steve Altimari, formerly of Valley Brewing).
