Headlands Brewing & Friends Present – 2nd Annual BeerRun GABF
(Denver, CO) – BeerRun GABF is an all day fundraising event that benefits Pints for Prostates. The route will once again take us from Boulder to Denver with stops at 6 brewery aid stations. The run will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd.
We’re really excited to have a finish line fest this year and are indebted to Bierstadt Lagerhaus for hosting. We will be tapping our collaboration beer, Check Yo’Self DIPA and $4 from every $5 pint will go to Pints for Prostates. Check Yo’Self Double IPA was brewed in collaboration with Headlands Brewing Company, Oskar Blues Brewing, Periodic Brewing Company and Perrin Brewing Company at OB’s barn brewing house in Lyons, CO. Bierstadt will also be contributing $1 for every house beer sold! Pints for Prostates will also have their mobile PSA screening unit and staff out front offering FREE screenings. These are not cheap tests and definitely can save your life!
There are a couple ways that you can help raise funds and awareness for Pints for Prostates. The first is in the form of a donation, which can be done here. Suggested donation categories are as follows:
- $5 – Raise a virtual pint to Pints for Prostates
- $25 – Buy a virtual round of beers for the runners
- $35 – BeerRun GABF covers 35 miles?!? Donate $1 per mile, old school Run-A-Thon style
- $100 – That life saving PSA Screening Test is on me
Everyone who donates will be eligible for one of our raffle prizes. Donations will be accepted through Friday and winners will be notified the week of October 9th. We have some amazing friends and the list of prizes they have generously allowed us to offer include:
- Brewers pass to opening night of 2018 GABF*
- VIP pass to 2018 Denver Rare Beer Tasting
- Choice of a pair of VIP passes to the Opening Gala of 2018 SF Beer Week* OR VIP passes to 2018 Brews on the Bay*
- Pair of Hoka One One shoes
- Entry and training plan for any Bay Trailrunners event in 2018
- Entry and training plan for any Pacific Coast Trail Runs event in 2018
- 60 minute massage at Presidio Sport & Medicine
- Box of Regrained food bars
- Headlands schwag bundle (hat, t-shirt, koozie & more!)
- More prizes to be announced during the run and through Friday!
*These prizes are only available to those outside the brewing industry.
The second way you can help us out is to run your own BeerRun on Tuesday. The distances between brewery aid stations vary between 2 and 9.6 miles. Check out the list below, find a distance that you are comfortable with or challenge yourself to go a little longer. Post a picture from your run on Instagram and tag Headlands Brewing Company (HeadlandsBrew) and Pints for Prostates (Pints4Prostates) and use the hashtag #BeerRunGABF. Bonus points if you include the link to our fundraising portal. We will award some of the top images with something from our schwag bag.
If you plan to be or are already in the Boulder-Denver area, please consider joining us for a few miles (or the whole run!) and at Bierstadt Lagerhaus to celebrate a great day of fundraising.

Cheers and I hope to see a few of you out in Denver next week!
