Fiction Beer Ales for ALS Release Party
(Denver, CO) – Fiction Beer Company is excited to announce that their ALS IPL will release Saturday July 11th at 3:00 pm. Fiction Beer Company, along with New Belgium Brewing Company and Odell Brewing Company, is one of only three breweries in Colorado selected to participate in the 2015 Ales for ALS fundraising program. Ales for ALS is a partnership with Loftus Ranches and HopUnion which creates a unique blend of hops each year and distributes them to a select few breweries in the country. Those breweries are then able to brew using these specially blended hops to create a unique beer.
The goal of the program for 2015 is to raise $300,000 toward ALS research. In return for the hop blend breweries are asked to donate $1 from each beer sold using the hop blend. Fiction Beer chose to craft an India Pale Lager to showcase these hops while not brewing the typically expected Pale Ale or IPA. An India Pale Lager like an IPA is hop forward in bitterness, flavor and aroma. However the IPL has a more rounded bitterness and a refreshing crispness that will make for an easy drinking hoppy summer beer. Fiction Beer hopes to raise nearly $5,000 for ALS research from the sales of this beer as well as through additional fundraising efforts.
