Craft Beer Events From West Sixth Brewing
Lexington, KY – Just a quick note from West Sixth Brewing to let you know about some great events happening this week.
First, on Tuesday (tonight!), we’ll be celebrating independent, locally-owned businesses with Local First Lexington at an event we’ve called “Celebrate your Independents…. Drink Local”. It will feature a specialty pint glass and t-shirt for sale to commemorate the event, and we’ll feature local businesses throughout the event, and local business owners as “celebrity beertenders” all night. The Roller Girls of Central Kentucky and the March Madness Marching Band will be here, and Fork in the Road will be serving tasty food all night long. Come down, you won’t want to miss it. It starts at 3pm tonight and we’ll be open until midnight.
Second, on Wednesday, our tap room will be closed. But fear not, we’ll be down in the Centrepointe lot selling our beers throughout the Fourth of July festival. So, if you’re hankering for some tasty local craft beer, visit us on the Main street side, where we’ll be selling our cans of IPA.
Finally, on Friday, we’ll be raising money for two local dog shelters with our “Take Paws for a Beer” event. Come join us at the brewery for an event combining two of people’s best friends, beer and dogs. First, the Bluegrass Barkery will be launching their newest line of dog treats made from West Sixth’s spent grain (wheat-free of course!). In addition, the brewery will be giving 6% of all our sales from the night to two Lexington dog rescues, Greyhound Pets of America and Great Dane Rescue. Representatives from both organizations will be here to answer questions.
Hope to see you at one or all of these events!

PS – We launched our newest beer, the “Saison Bellaire”, last week. If you haven’t tried it, you’ll want to – come down soon before we run out!
