City Beer Store Celebrates 7th Anniversary With Alpine Collaboration Beer – Magnificent Seven

San Francisco, CA – City Beer Store plans to release a specialty beer, Magnificent Seven, an IPA created by Alpine Beer Company for City Beer’s seven year anniversary. The seven year anniversary festivities will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at City Beer Store beginning at noon.

Owners Craig and Beth Wathen traveled to Alpine, California to take part in the brewing process of Magnificent Seven with brewer Shawn McIlhenney. Magnificent Seven, a 7.7% ABV IPA, has seven distinct malts and seven hop additions. Magnificent Seven will be available in bottles and draft for sale during the anniversary celebration. Bottles will be exclusively sold at City Beer Store.

City Beer Store, the original beer bottleshop and tasting bar, opened its doors in May 2006 in the SOMA neighborhood district of San Francisco. City Beer Store quickly attracted local beer lovers and others interested in educating themselves in craft beer. In October 2011, City Beer Store expanded their bottleshop and tasting bar into the neighboring space, creating more room for customers to taste, shop, and share beer stories with the City Beer Store community.

To celebrate our seven year anniversary we’ve brewed a hoppy delight with the IPA wonder house, Alpine Beer Company, tucked away in Alpine, California. We are honored to have made a beer with the fine folks at Alpine, and are jubilant to share the beer with the City Beer Store community on Saturday, May 18th.

• The Seven Year Anniversary Celebration will be held from 12:00pm-10pm.
• The celebration will be held at City Beer Store.
• Magnificent Seven will be released in bottles beginning at noon bottle limits will apply. We are unable to accept pre-orders.
• Magnificent Seven will be poured on draft throughout the anniversary celebration.
• We will have a golden draft menu featuring beers from our collection and specialty beers from our community of brewers.
• Citizens Band will be selling their downright delicious food for your snacking needs.
• This is NOT a ticketed event.
