Chifa And Sixpoint Craft Ales To Host A Beer Dinner, Featuring Latin-Asian Cuisine And Coffee Stout Made From Chef Garces’ Signature Custom-Roasted Beans
Philadelphia, PA – On Thursday, May 26 at 7 p.m., Chifa will host the latest in their ongoing series of Craft Beer Dinners, welcoming Brooklyn, NY’s Sixpoint Craft Ales.
Guests will enjoy four courses of Chef Jose Garces’ inspired Latin-Asian cuisine paired with Sixpoint’s handcrafted beers, including a special coffee stout created just for the event with Chef Garces’ own custom-roasted coffee beans.
The cost will be $65 per person, excluding tax and gratuity, and reservations are required. Both Chef Garces and Brewmaster Shane Welch will be on hand to interact with guests and discuss the evening’s food and beer pairings.
The enticing menu will include: Opakapaka Tiradito with ginger, rhubarb, plum and honey, paired with Sweet Action, a cream ale with bread and citrus notes and crisp hop character; Chocolate-Rye Smoked Pork Belly with onion three ways, paired with Righteous Ale, a rye ale with earthy hops and sweet malt; Beer-Marinated Beef Brisket with fermented black beans, charred pineapple and black pepper caramel, paired with Brownstone, with toasted grain, caramel and floral hops notes and a little bite; and Raspberry-Almond Brown Butter Cake with dehydrated chocolate mousse, raspberry gelee and chocolate sorbet, paired with Jose Garces Reserva Coffee Stout, brewed especially for this event.
