Asheville Winter Warmer Beer Fest 2010
Need something to “Shake Up” the Winter Blahs? Join us for the 3rd Annual Winter Warmer Beer Festival!
Asheville, NC – Mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual Asheville Winter Warmer Beer Festival on Saturday, January 23, 2010. This event will be held again at Haywood Park’s Grand Ballroom (adjacent to the Haywood Atrium, and behind the Bier Garden) from 3:00 – 7:00pm, provided to you by co-hosts: Asheville Brews Cruise, ThreeSheets:Design, French Broad Brewing Co. and The Haywood Park Hotel.
We highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as the last two year’s event sold out. This year’s venue allows for more to attend, but we have already received many inquiries about this year’s festival, so don’t miss out on this wonderful Winter Warmer!
Purchased tickets prior to January 16th will be mailed, with any tickets purchased online from January 16-23 available at will call.To buy tickets online now, click here
Executive chef and general manager, Tres Hundertmark, of The Lobster Trap – placed sixth in the 2009 National Oyster Shucking Championship in Maryland. He shucked 24 oysters in 2 minutes and 6 seconds, with a net time of 3 minutes and 29 seconds because of time added on for penalties. Hundertmark, who was the Charleston Oyster Roast shucking champion in 2008 and 2009, will attempt to beat the Guinness world record for most oysters opened in a minute at the Winter Warmer beer festival!
Bands playing at the event are still being decided, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated our 2nd year participant – the local non-profit organization, River Link. Please check back soon to see more details for this event.
Tickets are $37pp and will include a souvenir mug, samples during the event, and food provided by a local caterer (still be determined at this time.)

Great to see this event going strong for three years now. It’s nice to know that there is enough local support for all of these breweries to exist and also nice to see some new brew coming this year.
See you there.
