American Craft Beer Week 2012 Approaching
May 14-20, 2012: American Craft Beer Week Breweries and Retailers Spanning 50 States to Toast “The Mother of All Beer Weeks”
WHAT: For the seventh consecutive year, the Brewers Association will recognize American Craft Beer Week® (ACBW), a celebration of U.S. craft brewers across the country. Last year, all 50 states hosted official ACBW events, marking the largest-ever celebration of craft beer in America with over 1,500 events at more than 1,300 different breweries and retailers.
In 2012, ACBW will once again provide an opportunity for small and independent brewers, craft beer enthusiasts and the community of better beer retailers to celebrate the ever-advancing beer culture and epicurean art form in the U.S. Events include exclusive brewery tours, special beer releases, multi-course food and beer pairing dinners, collaboration beers and much more.
WHEN: Monday, May 14- Sunday, May 20, 2012
WHERE: Visit the official American Craft Beer Week events calendar, hosted by CraftBeer.com, for a full list of local celebrations in all 50 states.
WHY: America’s craft beer industry is booming, with upwards of 1,900 small and independent brewers responsible for a vibrant craft beer scene. With the average American living within 10 miles of a brewery, ACBW gives tens of thousands of beer beginners, beer enthusiasts, full-on beer geeks, and everyone in between, the opportunity to toast these brewers and support the advancement of America’s craft beer culture.
