Key West, FL – Because last year’s Key West BrewFest was such a success, we’re doing it again! Join us, in Key West over Labor Day weekend, August 29th – September 2nd 2013. Wednesday, August 28th
Pre-Events
6pm – 9pm: Home Brew Head to Head Contest at Old Town Manor Located at 511 Eaton Street. Beer provided by the Key West B.U.B.B.A (Brewers United Brewing Better Ales) Local Key West home brewers will go “head to head” where prizes, fame, and glory will be bestowed upon the lucky few deemed good enough by their peers. Admission fee of $25 per person includes keepsake glass, home brew tastings, and voting card. Tickets are limited so please call Old Town Manor at 305.292.2170 to reserve your ticket in advance. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Key West B.U.B.B.A’s (Brewers United Brewing Better Ales).
7pm: Beer and Rum pairing at the Rum Barrel, Located at 528 Front Street. Enjoy a 5 course dinner with gourmet food cooked in specialty beers and paired with beer or rum. 5pm– Kick-off Party at the Smokin’ Tuna Saloon – Sample some of The Tuna’s Craft and Specialty Beers along with their World Famous Smokin’ Tuna Dip, White Bean Chili (with tuna), Shrimp Ceviche while listening to some great live entertainment. The Tuna will also be featuring some of the finest cigars from around the world including Arturo Fuente and OpusX. Located at 4 Charles Street

5pm: Sloppy Joes BrewFest Party -Meet the Brewer Tap Takeover – All four bars at Sloppy Joe’s will feature crafted beers on tap from great breweries! 8am: 1st Annual Magic Hat Hot Trot Key West’s Premier 3.218688k. Race starts at the Southernmost Beach Cafe, 1405 Duval Street. Run from the Southernmost Beach Cafe to the Porch. Drink a Magic Hat beer. Run back to the Southernmost Beach Cafe. Drink a beer and cross the finish line. $20 per person. Giveaways all morning long. Prizes to the top 10 finishers.

10am – 12pm: Beer Seminar at the Restaurant Store $25 per person. At this fun filled seminar you will learn all the basic techniques of the beer brewing process. You will sample 4 classic styles of beer and lunch will be provided by Cole’s Peace Artisan Bakery. Learn how to brew your own beer, drink some great beer and have some terrific food.
