Arcadia Brewing Company Celebrates 20 Years!
(Kalamazoo, MI) – Arcadia Brewing Company is celebrating 20 years in the craft beer industry by hosting an anniversary extravaganza on Saturday, September 17th, 2016 in the Beer Garden at their Kalamazoo Riverfront, Brewery, Pub and Kitchen!
For 20 years, Arcadia Brewing Company has been committed to a British Inspired – American Brewed stable of beers. In 1996, Arcadia’s first 25 barrel batch was brewed on a Brick Kettle Brewing System from England, at the flagship Battle Creek, MI location. Fast-forward – today every batch is produced in the new 50 barrel American-made brewhouse at the Kalamazoo brewery. In the words of Tim Suprise (Founder & CEO) “20 years and it’s still about the beer!”
There will be events and live acts by Olde World Village performers throughout the day, but the 20th Anniversary Party officially kicks off at 5pm on the 17th with live music by Double Strung, a bluegrass band from Southwest Michigan. Following bands include the Elden Kelly Trio who specialize in jazz/world music, Blarney Castle who brings an old-style Celtic sound, and TheLast Gasp Collective who fill the air with powerful soul/hip-hop. Headlining the show, The Go Rounds, an eclectic rock group based out of Kalamazoo, will close out the night with a furious live act to be remembered!
Along with great entertainment, there will be beer specials, selected specifically for the occasion. Exclusive beers includeSippelicious, a new Mango IPA, and Battle Kriek, a reserve 20th Anniversary beer brewed in honor of Arcadia’s flagship location. Beloved brews like Morning Nightcap and MI-Berry Vice will be on tap in the beer garden.
It wouldn’t be an Arcadia party without some epic food specials! The Bratmobile, one of Arcadia’s newest of food service machineries, will be serving up Whitsun Bratwursts along the riverfront courtyard. Special dishes by Arcadia’s own Chef Sean Kelly, made up of locally sourced produce and meats, will be available through an outdoor food service window set up off the back patio in the beer garden.
And of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without some special 20th Anniversary schwag to take home. Most notably will be the release of Arcadia Brewing Company TagaBrew tags, including limited edition anniversary tags with specialty charms. Additional limited items will include t-shirts, commemorative license plates, and vintage beers for sale.
True to Arcadia’s philanthropic tradition, $1 from every pint sold during the 20th Anniversary Party will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters. Because for Arcadia, it’s always been about commitment; to creating quality beers, to building relationships with customers, and to supporting the community.

Special Beer Releases:
– Sippelicious – Mango IPA Brewed With Mango (ABV 7%)
o Arcadia’s brewers have gone mad! Mad for mango!! The crazy scientists in the beer lab have combined the best parts of the traditional IPA with mango straight from Barbados. Tropical aromas of pineapple, papaya, citrus and of course mango, mix with the bright hop profile of Simcoe, Amarillo and Summit, as well as a slight malt nose from Pilsner and CaraPils malt. The tropical fruits mix with the juicy hop bitterness and a slight malt backbone to produce a flavor that will teleport you straight back to the islands.
– Battle Kriek – Barrel Aged Kriek
o Brewed in honor of our flagship location in Battle Creek, MI this barrel aged Kreik is infused with 1,200 pounds of Michigan cherries will be exclusively tapped at the 20th Anniversary Party.
– Morning Nightcap – Coffee Porter (ABV 5.4%)
o The beer lover’s consummate coffee beer. Brewed with oat malt, which lends a powerful silky body, and a hint of nuttiness. Infused with Papa New Guinea coffee from our neighbors at Kalamazoo Coffee Company, it holds rich notes of dark chocolate, dark fruit and tons of refreshingly intense coffee flavors.
– MI-Berry Vice – Raspberry/Blueberry Wheat Beer (6.3%)
o A sweet, tart refreshing fruit wheat beer fermented with red and black raspberries as well as blueberries. Aromas of raspberries, blueberry skins and bready malt match its slightly dry flavor while wheat malt accentuates the tartness of the berries. Its medium-light body and effervescent carbonation make it a perfect summer refreshment.
