Review – Dominion Millennium

From Old Dominion Brewing – On December 23, 1993, we brewed our 1000th batch of beer. To commemorate this milestone, we produced Dominion Millennium. The beer was a huge success when we introduced it in February 1994, and it was sold out within a month. Millennium is a very strong ale brewed in the English Barleywine style.

Old Dominion Brewing – Dominion Millennium Ale – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 11.4%. From Andrew in D.C.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy orange with a modest 1/4 inch white head.

Aroma: Resinous hops, grapefruit, and some caramel malts.

Taste: Bitterness, some caramel, some citrus, and some warm booze.

Mouthfeel: Thick.

Overall: Not offensive, not impressive, just average for a barleywine.
