A special thanks to Jonathan Stern from San Diego. The biggest Alesmith fan I know, brought a magnum of Doggie Claws Vintage 2001 to a tasting and shared it with everyone including me. What an amazing treat.
Appearance: Dark tan with no bubbles.
Aroma: Sweet, baked lemon bars.
Taste: Sweet lemon candy and a little bitterness in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Thick with low carbonation.
Overall: What a wonderful experience. I got a 2009 Doggie Claws that wasn’t carbonated, so this was my first positive experience with the beer. It ages quite nicely.
