Cigar City Brewing – Cigar City Jose Martí Porter Aged on French Oak – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 8% abv. Thanks Jer.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown with a thin creamy tan head.

Aroma: Humungous oak. Chocolate and roast. Some spicy hops as well.

Taste: Medicinal oak, peppery roast. Finishes real woody.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied low carbonation.

Overall:  I enjoyed the hell of out of this beer. I love the base beer, and the wood treatment took it to all new levels. It’s not for everybody, as the oak is over the top on this one.
