Allagash Old HLT
From Allagash – Brown Ale aged in Stainless (Hot Liquor Tank )on fresh Montmorency Cherries for 2 years.
Allagash Brewing – Allagash Old HLT – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 8% abv.
Appearance: Pours a bright copper with absolutely no head.
Aroma: Classic kriek. Cherry pie, funk. Swimming pool.
Taste: Sharp cheesy yeast, tart cherry, ever so slightky toasted malt. Alcohol well masked.
Mouthfeel: Thin side of medium. High carbonation. Puckering.
Overall: This was tasty, and not alcoholic at all for being 8%. I think I liked this better than the two cherry Coolships.
