Pizza Port Carlsbad Brewer Jeff Bagby to Leave the Nest?
Tip of the wool winter beanie goes to SanDiegoBeerBlog.com and WestCoasterSD for reporting that Jeff Bagby is leaving Pizza Port Carlsbad to open his own brewery. According to the piece on SDBB, he will remain a consultant to Pizza Port during the transition. We plan on getting more clarification on this as details become available.
I finally got to introduce myself in person at the Carlsbad location this past weekend, after trading emails with Mr. Bagby over the past few years. Little did I know, that might be the last time I see him as the head brewer of Pizza Port Carlsbad. There was a guy who left the nest 6 years ago and went on to great things. His name is Tomme Arthur. We have no doubt Jeff will move on to greater things. Cheers to being your own boss!
