Introducing Yards Tomcat Ale
A few months ago we released Pitbull Ale, donating proceeds from its sales to the PSPCA. The response was huge and we were able to raise a good sum for pups in need. Now we’re turning the focus to our other four-legged friends — cats.
Tomcat is a beer brewed just for cats. It’s crafted with pale, wheat, victory and biscuit malts along with organically grown catnip. (No Simcoe or Summit hops if you were curious. Those could lead to an entirely different catty vibe.) While non-alcoholic, the catnip will still give your feline friend a relaxing buzz.
The origin of Tomcat goes back a few years to when Yards founder, Tom Kehoe, visited an animal shelter and being the nicest guy around, he brought home the only cat labeled “unadoptable.” It took a lot of patience, treats, and unconditional love to work out the kinks, but now Miss Beads and Tom are the best of friends. She guards the warehouse 24/7. And with the 5-year anniversary of her adoption coming up, Tom wanted to do something special for the little lady. So he did what he does best. Made her some damn good beer.
Brewed on the small batch system, Yards One, Tomcat Ale is available for a limited time exclusively in 12 oz. bottles at the brewery. It’s a refreshing treat after a few hours of mousing, licking yourself clean, or sunning yourself in the window. Well, according to Miss Beads at least. Proceeds from the sale of Tomcat Ale will go to the PSPCA.
Cheers to all the cool cats out there.
