White Rabbit Brewing Company was founded in mid 2011 and incorporated at the beginning of 2012. The brewery was founded by a US Air Force veteran and software engineer, Kenneth Ostraco, and a commercial/residential land surveyor, Anthony DiBona. They are truly passionate about beer, the community here in Triangle area, and Angier, NC. White Rabbit is fully licensed, Alice in Wonderland themed brewery on the outskirts of downtown Angier, NC. in operation since 2012.
Who We Are
White Rabbit Brewing Company was incorporated in 2012. but company founders began by planning over two years ago. The founders had a desire to start a small micro-brewery that produced craft style beer with a focus on quality, unique recipes and on a grass roots approach to scaling business growth.
Our mission is to fully embrace the essence of craft brewing and develop depth and variety of flavor that isn’t being done anywhere else so we truly offer a unique craft beer drinking experience. Our primary objective is to put forth a commitment to quality, consistency and deliverability of our product as our company grows. We are partnering with local farms and businesses to create new recipes and opportunities to become an integral part of our community.
The company occupies physical space at 219 Fish Drive, Angier, NC which has a 1000 square foot public bar space and a 2150 square foot brewery / warehouse space. There is currently a need to provide more seating capacity both inside as well as outside to meet the increased patronage.
Today, White Rabbit Brewing Company produces twelve house and three seasonal / specialty beers and has been working primarily on expanding our customer awareness and building our brand. We still brew three barrel batches, as we have from the beginning, but it is now time to start increasing production levels to meet the ever increasing demand of our craft beer. The need is to expand our brewing capacity to be able to produce 5 – 7 barrels per brew session.
The company owns 40 sixtel commercial kegs and 8 half barrel commercial kegs. In order to meet the wholesale demand from local bars and restaurants, this would need to be expanded to at least 120 sixtels and 48 half barrel commercial kegs. More would most certainly be better and this is where expansion would be done if stretch goals are attained.
White Rabbit Brewing Company owns a 30 gallon glycol chiller and two 3.3 barrel conical fermenters that need to be configured, plumbed and the glycol chiller needs to be hooked up.
The company currently owns a 20′ x 16′ walk-in cooler that is operational, but keg racking equipment is needed to house the expanded keg storage as this growth begins to take shape.
White Rabbit Brewing Company currently has a 4′ x 8′ serving walk-in cooler that has an eight tap system which needs to be expanded to a twelve tap system later this fall.
