Fairhope Brewing from Alabama Shares Company Update
(Fairhope, AL) – With all that is going on in the world right now, we wanted to take a few minutes to thank you all for the tremendous support that you have given in a very trying time, and to tell you a little about what is going on at Fairhope Brewing Company.
Jim and Brian are in constant communication with each other trying to figure our how to deal with everything that’s happening — dealing with distributors, banks, landlords, and the government while trying to manage their family lives as well.
Head Brewer Gil is keeping our brewing schedule on task so that we have as much beer as we need today, in two weeks, in a month, and in two months. It’s basically an impossible job, but Gil seems up to it.
Meanwhile our guys with kids — Tom, Dillon, Alex, and Brandon — have been asked to come in only when needed, and Gil is working carefully with them on their schedules to make sure that we are staffed exactly as is required for the task at hand.
Darius and Alysabeth are holding down the taproom, while also taking care of everything else that comes along during the day.
As you may have seen, we have transitioned our taproom to only selling beer to go. We will continue doing this for as long as we are permitted, and at the moment are offering limited hours from 4:00 – 6:00 during the week and opening an hour early on Friday. We are offering at least fifteen varieties to go, in either six-packs, four-packs, or 32 ounce crowlers. We are doing our best to keep up an accurate list of what is available on our website.
Despite our beautiful courtyard and deck areas, it is totally illegal for anyone to consume beer on our property at the moment due to ABC and health department regulations. We thank you for helping us abide by these laws.
We have had a number of people ask us whether they should buy our products from us directly at our taproom or from a grocery store. The short answer is that we are always happy for your support, but we do in fact get more revenue if you purchase directly from us, so if you wouldn’t mind making that extra stop it would really help us out. But again, as long as your cracking open a Fairhope beer, we are happy!
Thank you so much for understanding all of these quirks as we navigate this uncertain terrain. We are doing our best to keep our staff and our patrons as safe as we can.
Stay safe out there, and please feel free to email us with any questions or concerns — or a really good joke.
Sincerely,
The FBC Crew
