We are back with the latest edition of Can Release Daily. Every day, around the world, small breweries are offering some of the freshest, most innovative beers right out of their tasting rooms. With so many breweries releasing so many brightly labeled beers, it’s hard to keep track of it all. Because we love centralized info, we decided to bring you the latest releases in this post. This Wednesday (11/6), we will be releasing the third iteration of Life and Fate. Life and Fate is a series of experimental DIPAs that feature raw material that is extremely difficult to source; and/or processes that I have yet explore. As an attempt to prevent bias and invoke genuine critique, I will not be disclosing certain ingredients used in each batch. These beers are intended to be singular expressions of exploration and will therefore not be repeated. Life and Fate III is built primarily on wheat, and contains a small amount of malted barley and oats; and is brewed and dry hopped with American and Australian hops. 8% abv. $22/4pk – one case per person. Limit subject to change. The taproom opens at 3pm / can sales begin at 4pm via @greatsouthbay (25 Drexel Drive / Bay Shore, NY). Numbered tickets will be distributed at 3pm, and we will begin calling numbers in groups of 20 at 4pm. We will be selling cans until 8pm (or until sold out). This Saturday we will be releasing 3 new beers! ——————————– Melt: Rugoso – The second in a three part collaboration series with Melt Chocolates, Melt: Rugoso is a massive imperial stout loaded with a pound per gallon of single origin Rugoso cacao nibs sourced directly from Nicaragua. These nibs impart notes of passion fruit, coffee, pineapple, tannin, and kiwi. 12% You’re My Only Hope – Sour ale with pomegranate and tangerine. 4% Raspberry Birthday Cake – Milkshake IPA with raspberry, vanilla, and lactose. 8% ——————————– LIVE BEER. This Friday, we eagerly welcome back Galaxie 500, our ceremonious Double IPA twice dry-hopped with an all-time favorite, Galaxy hops. At 9.0%, Galaxie 500 is dripping with notes of ripe, crushed pineapple and papaya. It’s soft in body despite it’s high abv, and it’s become one our top choices around here after just a couple appearances in cans.⠀ ⠀ The artwork for this can was created by our good friend, Manue Reva (@pieceofpapermtl). Manue started making trips to the brewery from Montreal with her partner a few years ago. We became friends long before we saw her incredible art and design work. With a shared taste of music, art, and beer, we couldn’t think of a better individual to create the label for a beer that holds such a special place in our hearts. ‘Tis the season for Super Spruce! This dry-hopped gose owes its immense pine aromatics to a double dose of resin. The new growth of spruce trees layered with Chinook hops create a complex profile of fresh pine that includes floral, citrus, cola, and bubble gum undertones. This unboiled beer is luminous and hazy with a grapefruit-like acidity that perfectly showcases the bright coniferous flavors rounded off by a touch of sea salt. 4.7%ABV — $18/4-pack. Super Spruce is 1 of 3 beers releasing this Saturday, 11/09, at noon. Stay tuned for more!
