The Full Pint Podcast – Episode 001 Julian Shrago of Beachwood BBQ & Brewing

When we first started The Full Pint back in 2007, we really wanted to do a podcast, but we didn’t have the resources, following or guts.  As a big fan of other craft beer podcasts such as Craft Beer Radio, New Brew Thursday, The Brewing Network and now Four Brewers, it’s always been something we wanted to do.

During LA Beer Week, we met a dashing go-getter by the name of Javi Gonzalez, who hosts The Slur Podcast . Javi continuously emailed me asking if I’d be his guest, and finally we sat down in TFP HQ and spat hot fire.  Right then and there I knew The Full Pint needed their own podcast, and that Javi would be the perfect host with his voice of an angel and his pure enthusiasm.

We’d like you to listen to our first ever podcast with a few disclaimers:

• This is a very rough production, we plan on sprucing things up with music and some audio equipment. We need to find our groove.
• Our dear host Javi is very new to craft beer, and those who are very not new will be able to tell.  Where Javi lacks in craft beer knowledge, he makes up for it with his raw broadcasting skills.  We are putting him through craft beer boot camp as we speak, and you will hear some more confidence from him in weeks to come.
• The lead in by myself (Danny) started off real rough. Lots of Ums and uhs.  I was nervous and not ready to roll but that’s how it is some times.  You will definitely hear me hit my stride in the next few episodes.
• Julian of Beachwood was very generous in being our first guest. We hope you enjoy his interview.
