Wicked Weed Brewing Second Anniversary

Asheville, NC – We can hardly believe it, but Wicked Weed Brewing is turning two on December 28th. To say that time has flown and we are beyond blessed to live out our craft is more than an understatement. With the support of our community and the hard work of every brewer, brewpub employee, and owner, we have seen incredible growth in our second year.

In celebration of another passing year, we brewed our second anniversary ale: Terrible 2’s Centuplicate IPA.

This Imperial IPA is the biggest, hoppiest IPA we have brewed to date. Clocking in at 14% ABV, this heavy weight has one mean right hook of hops consisting of Centennial, Mosaic, Amarillo and Motueka.

Terrible 2’s will hit the taps on Saturday, December 27th at the brewpub and the Funkatorium as well as several bottle shops and bars around the state. The revelry continues in Asheville on Sunday, December 28th. From 4-6pm the Funkatorium will host a vertical tasting of Black Angel Cherry Sour and Genesis Blond Sour. Head Brewer Luke Dickinson and Head of Brewing Operations Walt Dickinson will pour beer enthusiasts flights of the first bottling of these flagship sours and the current batches released this month.

From here, head over to the Wicked Weed mother ship at 6pm for the kickoff of our Brewer’s Casks. A total of six unique casks showcasing our brewer’s abilities will debut every half hour.

These casks are:

• Milk & Cookies Stout with Chocolate Cream Cookies, Cinnamon Sticks and Vanilla
• “Latin” Freak with Agave Nectar and Lime Zest
• French Toast Stout with Strawberries
• El Paraiso Coffee Stout with Goji Berries and Ancho Chilies
• Fig, Pear and Cardamom IPA with Hibiscus and Grains of Paradise
• Paloma Sour with Agave Nectar and Grapefruit Salt.
