Summer Ale Festival At The Philadelphia Zoo
Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Zoo has partnered with Rolling Barrel Events to craft The Summer Ale Festival, a unique summer event featuring delicious, sustainable food and regional craft beers. July 25, 2009 – 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Celebrate the summer season with this exciting outdoor beer and food tasting extravaganza featuring delicious local summer ales and restaurants throughout the Zoo’s lush gardens. Sample, compare and discuss beers directly with the brewers.
The event will also feature an impressive lineup of educational seminars prepared by Rolling Barrel providing additional opportunities to interact with some of Philadelphia’s best craft brewers. Guests will also get to see the animals in the areas that are open for the event. Please note that not all animals will on display that evening.
The Summer Ale Festival will take place rain or shine. This is an intimate event with limited tickets (tickets include admission, parking, beer and food sampling). TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE BY ADVANCE ONLINE PURCHASE, or purchase at the door if there are any remaining tickets. We strongly suggest purchasing tickets in advance. We have added a FREE shuttle between 30th Street Station and the Zoo for this evening for people choosing to take public transportation. The shuttle will run from 6:15 pm with the last shuttle leaving the Zoo at 10:15 pm.
- $75 VIP Tickets: (limited tickets available) includes private educational seminar with exclusive brewer, a souvenir pilsner tasting glass and goodie bag
- $50 General Admission Tickets: includes a souvenir pilsner tasting mug
- $20 Designated Driver Ticket: includes (2) tickets for non-alcoholic beverages (lemonade or ice tea) and access to restaurant sampling stations. Please note: no beer will be served to designated drivers. Designated Drivers will not receive a tasting mug and will have a different colored wristband.
