SanTan Brewing Company Announces AZ Beer Week Lineup

SanTan Brewing Company Announced Arizona Beer Week Lineup to Include Brewer’s Breakfast, Brews Cruise and Chimi Pairings.

Chandler, Arizona – Set to dominate Arizona from February 18-25, 2012, the 2nd annual Arizona Beer Week is packed with craft beer events throughout the state. Gearing up for what promises to be even bigger and better than last year, SanTan Brewing Company, named 2011 Best Brewery by Phoenix New Times, is spearheading the fun with events including a brewer’s breakfast, a brews cruise, and a special chimi and beer pairing menu.

Arizona Beer Week kicks off on Saturday, February 18 with the annual Arizona Strong Beer Festival at Steele Indian School Park from 1-5 p.m. Craft beer lovers will enjoy live entertainment, activities, food and beer sampling.

Brewer’s Breakfast (Sunday, Feb. 19, 10:30 a.m.)
On Sunday, SanTan Brewing Company will keep the party going with a special Brewer’s Breakfast at 10:30 a.m. The breakfast menu consists of scrambled eggs, chipotle bacon, green chili pork enchiladas and jalapeno cornmeal pancakes with agave syrup for $16 per person. Children 12 and under are $8. The Brewer’s Breakfast will also feature Breckenridge Brewing’s exclusive “one time only” beers on tap. Arizona Beer Week Brews Cruise (Sunday, Feb. 19, 1 p.m.)
After the Brewer’s Breakfast, head home, grab your bike and ride back to SanTan for the Arizona Beer Week Brews Cruise starting at 1 p.m. Riders will leave SanTan Brewing Company shortly after enjoying lunch and their first pint. First stop on the route is Majerle’s Sports Grill located at 3095 West Chandler Blvd. Then, cruisers will pedal down to Uncle Bears located at 1980 West Germann Rd.

Finally, the bike brigade will head back to downtown Chandler ending their ride at Coach and Willie’s located at 1 East Boston St. Tickets to the Arizona Beer Week Brews Cruise are $20 and include food at SanTan Brewing Company and one beer at each of the cruise stops. Chimi Week (Monday-Saturday, Feb. 20-25)
Many people believe that the Chimichanga was invented right here in Arizona and their popularity has stirred up a great debate centered on declaring them the State’s Official Food. So, in keeping with Arizona celebration, SanTan Brewing Company will roll out a special Chimichanga pairing menu available February 20-25. On Monday, try the Sonoran Coney Chimi prepared with a bacon wrapped all beef hot dog topped with Coney Island chili, cheddar cheese, sliced avocado and pico de gallo, rolled into a jumbo flour tortilla and deep fried. The Sonoran Coney Chimi pairs well with SanTan Brewing’s Epicenter Amber. Other Chimi Week highlights include the Cochinita Pibil Chimi, Chico Chimi and the Texas Red Chili Chimi made with big chunks of braised beef simmered in a hearty red chili with chopped white onions and sharp aged white cheddar—pairs perfectly with Gordo Stout.

In addition to these three awesome events, SanTan Brewing Company has planned craft beer pairings, dinners and parties throughout the week at many partner locations including the Burgers & Brews dinner at Stax Bistro and the Surf & Turf Redefined dinner at Latitude 8 Thai Grill – both on Tuesday, February 21. Another noteworthy highlight held at SanTan Brewing Company is Manless Monday on February 20 at 6:30 p.m. Manless Monday is the ultimate grilled cheese pairing, just for the ladies.
