Santa Fe Brewing Still Growing After 20 Years
Santa Fe, New Mexico – Santa Fe Brewing Company will be celebrating their 20th anniversary with a year’s worth of special events and specialty beers.
Established in 1988 as New Mexico’s first microbrewery, Santa Fe Brewing Company began as a small family owned operation in Galisteo, New Mexico. Over the last 20 years, the brewery has relocated 2 times and has grown 10 times the size that it was in 1988. “It is unbelievable how far we have come, it seems like just yesterday that I was delivering beer from our tiny Toyota van!”, recalls Brian Lock, president of Santa Fe Brewing Company.
Although the brewery has gone through some inevitable changes, mostly as a result of the high demand set by its loyal supporters, the recipes and credo have stayed the same. “We have a duty to the consumer to keep making the same high quality products that we have always made. The changes that we have made in the past years have all been helpful to the consistency of our products.” says Lock.
The 20th Anniversary celebration will continue all year-long with plans of special tasting room events as well as the release of their limited edition Big Beer Series, a series of three unique and strong beers that will be available statewide in New Mexico. “This anniversary is a real milestone for us and with our new brewing system; it is going to allow us to really have some fun making new and unique beers that we weren’t able to in the past. I think anyone who comes to the tasting room will be pleasantly surprised at what the brewers have come up with,” says Lock.
The Santa Fe Brewing Company is dedicated to producing a fresh product by naturally conditioning their beers and using only the finest in ingredients. They currently distribute their beer statewide in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, and Oklahoma with plans to begin distribution in Nebraska.
