San Diego Beer Week Preview Weekend – Ballast Point

Is it possible that San Diego beer week was six whole months ago?  All those awesome events, beer dinners and festivals seem like they were just yesterday.  We are only six months away from doing it all again, except better.  Just to make sure that nobody forgets that San Diego is still the beer capital of the universe, we are going to have a mini version this weekend.  Check out www.sdbw.org for the details on all the happenings around town.

Here at Ballast Point we are showcasing our three World Beer Cup 2010 Gold Medal winners at our Linda Vista Location on Saturday.  Tasters of Sculpin IPA, Bourbon Barrel Aged Piper Down and Fathom India Pale Lager will be available alongside ten other Ballast Point brews.  Come by and sample some of our awesome standouts.

On Sunday June 13th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Home Brew Mart/Ballast Point Brewing Company we are offering another homebrew class.  Ballast Point brewer Doug Duffield will brew a 5-gallon batch and cover all the basics, teaching you how to get creative with different grains, yeasts, and hops.  The cost of the class will be $10 and will be limited to 30 attendees. A non-refundable reservation is required. Pay cash on location or pay over the phone and come learn from a pro!
