San Diego Beer Week 2010 – La Jolla Brew House Events

La Jolla Brew House has plenty planned for San Diego Beer Week 2010. Read on for exciting tastings, pairings and more.

Hello Craft Beer Lovers!

San Diego Beer Week is almost here! All over San Diego County Craft Beer lovers will be celebrating with nearly 350 beer events between November 5th and 14th.  
The San Diego Brewers Guild Festival is being held Saturday the 6th from 2-6 pm at Liberty Station with a special VIP session from 12-2 pm. We will be there to share in this event, come by our booth and say hello!

The Guild is also sponsoring Beer Garden at The Lodge at Torrey Pines on Sunday the 14th from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm.  This event will be combining best of San Diego craft beer with food from outstanding local chefs. Each admission includes unlimited tasters of beer and food. Each brewery will be paired with a local chef to create a truly unique and delicious beer and food pairing event. Our IPA, Pariah, will be one of the featured beers paired with an amazing dish.

As you can imagine, we have a variety of things going on during SDBW for you to attend as well! Some require advance ticket purchase, while others may be enjoyed on a drop in basis! There’s really something for everyone!

Before the week even kicks off, we do have an event to support breast cancer research and awareness as well as the walkers in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day event. Join us Thursday, November 4th from 5-9pm as we raise money for Breast Cancer Research and toast the 3-day walkers! $1 Donated for EVERY pink drink, and selected pints ordered! Cash Raffle for fun prizes! Start your Holiday shopping with the Stella & Dot Boutique! 15% of Jewelry sales, 10% of cocktail sales, and ALL raffle proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation!!!

La Jolla Brew House’s Two Main San Diego Beer Week Events

Sunday the 7th at 6pm: Beer & Cheese Pairing with La Jolla Brew House Brews and Venissimo Cheese Shop Specialty Cheese! Come Join the La Jolla Brew House and the Venissimo Cheese Shop for a fun, tasty, and informative Beer and Cheese Pairing. Four 4oz.Tasters plus Cheese Plate for $12!
No advance ticket purchase available, first come first served. Space limited.

Wednesday the 10th at 7pm: The La Jolla Brew House is celebrating San Diego Beer week by hosting a four course Beer Dinner featuring beers from the La Jolla Brew House, Lightning Brewing Co., Airdale Brewing Co, and Manzanita Brewing Co.

Tickets are $30, must be purchased in advance, and are on sale.
For persons age 21 and older, please.

First Course
Beer: Lightening Pilsner
Mini Chopped Caesar Salad, Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, kalamata olives, asparagus, red onions, focaccia crouton and Parmesan crisps.

Second Course
Beer: Pariah IPA
New Orleans style BBQ Shrimp with creamed soft polenta.

Third Course
Beer: Manzanita Brown Ale
Manzanita marinated hanger steak, spiced sweet potato puree, caramelized onions, and shallot demi glace.

Dessert
Beer: Airdale Homecoming Spiced Porter
Pumpkin Cheesecake

Tastings and other Events

Friday the 5th at 5pm: We will be kicking off San Diego Beer Week by meeting our Brewmaster, Travis Smith, and enjoying all local pints! As always we will have Dinner Specials, and will be providing a special Beer Pairing Menu!
After 7pm you can enjoy $1 off all local pints as well!

Saturday the 6th at 10am: Beer & Breakfast and College Football! Come watch your favorites while enjoying some great breakfast specials and amazing San Diego Brew!

Saturday the 6th at 8pm: Come join us for a unique take on a drive-in movie. We will be showing two of the best beer movies of all time, Beerfest and Strange Brew. They will be playing on the New 42″HD LCD TVs on our heated patio, free popcorn will be provided, $4 local pints and pizza specials will be available as well.

Sunday the 7th 9am: Breakfast, Brews, and Football are on the menu!  Enjoy Eggs Benedict! Stuffed French Toast! Omelet Breakfast Burritos and more! $3 on Select Pints! Catch The Chargers and All NFL action while enjoying some awesome San Diego Craft Brews!

Monday the 8th at 7pm: Fireside with the Brewer! Travis Smith will be out on our patio for some beer conversation and to answer your questions. We will be tasting our house and local beers, enjoy local sausages from Knight Salumi Company, and Tapas from our New menu!

Tuesday the 9th at 5pm: Two For Tuesday! Flights and Food Pairing. Come enjoy a pairing of 4 gourmet sliders with 4 tasters for $12!

Thursday the 11th at 5pm: Beer & Bone Yappy Hour! Spend an evening with your best friend while enjoying an amazing craft brew over at the La Jolla Brew House on our heated pet friendly patio! Raffle prizes, treats, and much more!

Friday the 12th at 5pm: Blues, Brews, BBQ, and Bottles. Come join us for an evening of classic blues, amazing brews, mouthwatering BBQ, and starting tonight, new, specialty, bottled beers! Enjoy baby back ribs, pulled pork chicken, jalapeño cornbread, and more!

Saturday the 13th at 5pm: Movie and a Beer! Come in and try for the first time, or enjoy again one of the many local guest brews we have on tap, including our house brews! Then at 8pm join us for a unique take on a drive-in movie. We will be showing Animal House on the New 42″HD LCD TVs on our heated patio, free popcorn will be provided! Beer and food specials will be available!
